1. Chetan Bhagat was in the list of Time magazine’s list of World’s 100 Most Influential People 2010.
2. Apart from writing, Bhagat also does some screenplay work like “Kick” and T.V. shows from time to time.
3. Bhagat plans to take a break now as 2014 has been very hectic with increase in column writing (due to elections) and also due to movies like Kick, Half Girlfriend and 2 states.
4. The reason that Bhagat is on the panel for Nach Bliye 7 is because, Ekta Kapoor said that Chetan Bhagat’s role on the show will be that of a motivator and story teller.
5. The novel, 2 States is based on Bhagat’s life story. It is kind of an autobiography.

7. Bhagat married a tamilian girl, his IIM classmate, Anusha Bhagat. She now works at an international bank, while he stays at home, manages his children and writes.
8. After graduating from IIM, Bhagat moved to Hong Kong with his family, where he worked for eleven years with Goldman Sachs as an investment banker, before finally moving to Mumbai and pursuing his dream to be a writer.
9. Bhagat wasn’t as popular as he is today before the release of 3 Idiots.
