4 most haunted college campuses in India

They say there are two types of spirits that haunt places – those that are like a cassette that play the same scene over and over again. These presences pass through you but will not harm you.
There is, however, a more intelligent type who want to contact you. The second type is a more dangerous type. Your fear will draw them to you like a magnet.
Today we will take a look at hauntings in a place that one would least expect them – in universities and colleges across India.

#1: Calcutta Women’s College, Calcutta University
—————————
Alipore is one of Kolkata’s poshest areas. It is also where one of India’s most famous ghosts can be found.
Warren Hastings was the first governor general of British India from 1773 to 1785. His residence is the site of Calcutta Women’s College.
This spirit makes its presence felt on New Year’s Eve when a carriage with four horses draws up to the house he loved so much.
Hasting’s presence has been felt rushing up the staircase looking for lost documents – after bribery charges were levelled against him.
—————————#2 University of Pune—————————
Pune University has a beautiful campus. The buildings are colonial and university is surrounded by trees. Tucked away in one corner of the campus is a grave bearing the name of Alice Richman.
Her grave has the inscription: “Born Melrose South Australia November 13 1856 and died at this spot of cholera at this very spot January 1886″.
Not everyone believes that Alice died of cholera. There is speculation that she was killed while riding a horse or that she committed suicide.
Whatever the reason, Alice does not rest in peace.
There have been sightings of a woman dressed in a white gown walking around the area.

#3: St Bede’s College, Shimla
—————————
St Bede’s College is an all girls’ college that is known across India for one its graduates rather than its ghost. It is the institute that Preity Zinta attended.
But there is also a presence associated with the institute.
Girls have reportedly heard mysterious sounds from the dining room every night around midnight.
—————————#4: SNDT, Girls College, Mumbai
—————————

We have read about about spirits who wander alone so far. The one around SNDT Girls College in Juhu is of a different type.
For starters, there is more than one presence and it is a regular occurrence.
Residents living nearby say that they hear a female teacher reciting multiplication tables around 2 am. This is followed by the sound of slapping and children wailing.
Frustrated with their sleep being disrupted, 10 boys decided to find out the reason behind the noise. As they came near the dilapidated structures, there was silence.
Thinking that the presences had stopped, the boys went home…and the wailing started again.
No one had the guts to go back.
